Timothy Hart Williams was a prominent merchant in Austin, Texas for the first half of the 1900s. The Timothy Hart Williams scrapbook contains a collection of get well soon letters written by the members of the University Presbyterian Church to Williams in 1942 expressing friendship and best wishes during a time of illness.

Timothy Hart Williams, Sr. was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on February 6, 1869. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1900 and worked in the mercantile business until his death on March 19, 1954. He was the head of the firm of T. H. Williams & Company until his son, T. H. Williams, Jr., took over active management in the 1940s.
